NEXAT sets benchmark: World record in soybean harvesting

LUÍS EDUARDO MAGALHÃES (BA), BRAZIL (23rd March 2026) – A new milestone has been reached: In the state of Bahia, NEXAT has set a new world record in soybean harvesting with its self-developed NEXCO combine module. Under the official supervision of RankBrasil, 637.76 tons of soybeans were harvested on a total of 158.16 hectares within eight hours at Fazenda Bananal (Agro Basso Group).

Top performance paired with efficiency

The harvesting operation sets new standards in terms of efficiency and throughput. The NEXAT system surpasses last year’s record by an impressive 32%, corresponding to over 150 additional tons within the same eight-hour time frame using a conventional combine.
Notable is the extremely low fuel consumption of only 7.5 liters per hectare, impressively underscoring the high efficiency of the NEXAT system.

Transverse rotor concept: More space for high-performance technology

With the NEXCO harvesting module, NEXAT achieves a 32% higher performance in soybean harvesting compared with the previous world record holder. This is made possible by an innovative threshing concept featuring a transversely installed rotor that feeds two separation and cleaning units. Two straw choppers ensure even distribution of crop residues over the entire working width (15.2 m / 50 ft).
The modular design of the system also provides excellent accessibility and allows for rapid maintenance – maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Official recognition and importance for the industry

The importance of this achievement for agriculture became clear during the certification ceremony held by RankBrasil. Luciano Cadari, Director of RankBrasil, summed it up as follows: „“This record is proof of how technology and efficient management are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in agribusiness.”“

A milestone for the future of food production

For the NEXAT management, the world record is confirmation of their development strategy. Welf von Plato sees it as a clear signal for the market: ” We are proud of this result. The new world record confirms that our NEXCO harvesting module sets new standards in throughput, grain quality and maximum efficiency. This is an important milestone for us and for the future of efficient and sustainable food production.” .“

With this result, NEXAT demonstrates the successful path toward the future of agricultural technology. The innovative design of the base machine opens up completely new possibilities, with the NEXCO harvesting module being an outstanding example of the enormous potential of this system.
